movie u hated!

Hi guys
I read thru your comments. It was quite interesting and I thank you all for ur appreciation. I hope u all will co-operate to make our lab classes interesting as only with your comments blog becomes interesting.
Sheeba & Alice got the chr’s complete names – how did u two get?
Many of u found jamila not very interesting – true she does come across very flat but is she over acting? By the way the French girl’s name is Danielle not Daniel(that is boy’s name)
Karthik has asked whether this cd be viewed thru projector but swaminathan’s comment answers this suggestion. He says he found it comprehensible as it was clear thru headphones.
Janani, English man will be bemused by our pronunciation of English itself not our languages.
Karthick krishna’s and ram mad on Hollywood(?) give their `1000 apologies
Who is phenom? And why did u list Taro,Anna Schmith ,Juan Cervantes,Chung Su- as negative?
Prashanth’s comment is good – mind ur language helps us to mind our language
Soman’s suggestion of middle east is a gd idea and Senthil raj? Lateral entry?

This week
Many of you have commented about ‘Mind your Language’ not being a great comedy. Some of you infact found few scenes very annoying. Can you share about a movie that was appreciated by masses but you found it irritating. For example ‘chandramukhi’ was one movie which was liked by many people. I found it very badly made movie with clichéd scenes and revolting comedy. It fared very bad when compared with the Malayalam original Similarly can each one give about ur choice of over-hyped movies.

Hi ppl,
Bhargavi here... again the first one to write the comment..;)
OK...about the movie i hated, its definitely SIVAJI!!

I hated the movie frame by frame... total waste of money and time! the whole movie was illogical...may be its a rajnikanth's movie and we should not expect logic but whole movie defies logic??!

The movie is uni-dimensional... it is directed towards the larger than life portrayal of the hero.

The story isn't impressive and its not Shanker's best...You feel shanker has lost his magic and he lavishly wastes money on very silly things. The climax is'nt impressive too.It looks like Shanker dint know how to finish the movie.

I hate shreya's acting and this movie is a perfect example...and more over she was just a glamour doll in the movie!

There were not enough supporting characters in the movie even it had there was no much importance given to them!

The fight scenes were horrible especially the climax fight, i was waiting for it to get over.Even the songs were really bad except for one or two!

In short the movie was a complete 'flaw'... ppl would have watched it only for rajini!!

thanq=)

Hi friends ishu here,

I hated the movie, Dasavatharam directed by K.S Ravi kumar...Seeing one man donning 10 roles over 3 hours is certainly tiring [:(].

Storyline s nt impressive...Kamal talks about the "Chaos Theory"
but after sitting and watching Kamal in many roles, playing good and bad guy on screen – the theory remains unexplained.Kamal have not heard about the word “essentials”(not only in this film).
It would have a near perfect,if Kamal had stripped his roles to
just 3 – the obvious Govind, the comical policeman Balram Naidu and killer Fletcher. The rest of the roles are worthless.(who need “President Bush” character to be added in a Tamil movie [:)]).Perhaps it was done to fill in the “loose gaps in the storyline”.
Kamal movies (the ones that is penned by him)takes time to digest. This movie s like "searching earthworm in noodles"which means we have to search the main storyline..i dunno where it starts and it ends.Computer graphics is good bt unnecessarily they hace used lot of graphics,it irritates the viewers.
I feel,i have wasted my money and time to watch this worthless movie [:(]..pls dont waste 3 hours watching the crap called Dasavatharam..but salaam to Kamalhassan

Hello ppl.......
hey bhargavi was sivaji that bad??? i agree the movie didn't have any logic but it was like a brainless entertainer i enjoyed the whole larger than life aspect of it(typical Rajini though ;)).

Anyways i'll move on the movies i hate...there are quite a few movies which can be added to that list but i'll stick to the movie i hate the most 'kahi Alvida Naa Kehna'.I'll list out the things rather than writing it in a paragraph (somehow i get this sense of satisfaction every time i give this movie a bad review... trust me its that bad :( :( ).

1. Its a 3.5 hrs movie.... i felt like i was in the theatre forever and the worst part is i felt the same way even when i watched it at home after skipping an hour....

2. The story line- it has absolutely no logic whatsoever. Who in their minds would fall in love with a total loser when she's married to a adorable guy who loves her and takes good care of her. (please make a note of this point- she's (Rani mukerjee) married. The story oscillates between high melodrama and slapstick hilarity, going nowhere.

3. Screenplay- Can't get boring than this.... Karan Johar didn't even succeed in making me cry which always he does through his old movies.(i know..... i know..... i can't help it guys i did cry kuch kuch hota hai ;))

4.Shah Rukh Khan ..... Shah Rukh Khan...... Shah Rukh Khan...... overacting personified.

on the whole this movie is definite DON'T WATCH movie. ppl should probably run in the opposite direction even if they play it on TV.

What i fail to understand is how this movie became such a big rage in bollywood... i assume its Karan Johar's bold entry into such a genre.

Oh God!!!! it still pains when i think about this movie.
phew!!!!!!!

Hi everyone,
Im going to comment on the movie"Kuruvi".
After a long time I decided to watch actor Vijay’s movie Kuruvi becoz of its director Dharani, who had given worthy hit movies in the past. But my assumption went wrong within half an hour watching ‘Kuruvi’.
The brand heroism style starts right from the first scene of the movie. Actor Vijay wins a national car championship with an old and useless car against the well maintained race cars. In the entire movie, the hero single handedly tackles the mafia and finally destroys them.
Almost all the scenes in the film are unbelievable larger than life hero elements. The action scenes add best to the comedy track and one can have a good laugh. It seems like a real comedy that a well trained gang leader can not shoot the Kuruvi like ordinary person, straightly in many scenes. In scene, the hero breaks a strong tree by just a kick.
Kuruvi was scripted in the same formula of Kollywood commercial movies-action, songs, sentiment, comedy, item number, punch dialogues and in the future there can be other new aspects added to the list. I really wonder how the directors never miss these ingredients.
The film lacked basic story and logic, which tried to test my patience for three long hours. So I walked out of the theatre in the middle of the movie. But it is strange and a huge surprise from me becoz the movie has been screened in the theatres for more than 150 days!!!!!!!!!!!

hello people!!
miss aparna i do agree that kabhi alvida naa kehna, was a kind of boring movie.but if you had understood the storyline you wouldn raise the questions against the movie. And you had mentioned srk did overacting,in the movie!! excuse me, can you tell anyone who can perform that role better than him???
and the film i hated the most is dham dhoom , which had a stupid screen play for a very good syoryline.. all i could think is when to leave the hall, jayam ravi acting was ok,but couln tolerate when he shouts.kangana was fine, its a thriller movie without thrilling scenes, haris background score was soooooo hectic. the only credit was his 2 melodies.the movie is not worth watching, its like wasting money.and the climax is so horrible...

I have a list of many movies praised by media and not by me. so i cant think of any movie all of a sudden!!! (seeing the post on sunday night)... but as i have to post, first movie tat comes in my mind is kuruvi and next is bheema and both have been trashed by my class mates, so i'l write/type a short view abt the next worst one "Imsai Arasan 23am Pulikesi".

All the media praised this film for vadivelu's acting and satire comedy. the story is straight out of the old movie "uthama puthiran" starring sivaji (remember yaaradi nee mohini song??) and i hardly laughed in the theater. the film didnt had a gripping screenplay and i was yawning most of the times.

Some dialogues, very few situations and satires about coke and Pepsi were good but overall its quite a let-down for me. even the songs are tuned for front benchers. i only laughed at people in the hall wen they laughed at so called jokes throughout the movie. I didnt recommended the movie to any of friends or foes and i still keep out even wen it is telecasted on TV. So beware

p.s. this is not the only movie tat has been praised by media unnecessarily. reviews in media is equally proportional to the sum of amount they receive from the producer. ex: sify (yuck)...

and my personal list in this category goes like...
satham podathey
sachin
sadhu mirandal
mumbai express
Thimiru
Thirumalai
and so on and on and on....

and mam, sorry, last week's activity was painfully boring for me - Sorry again...

@ prem
SRK Fan club member??

@ aparna
avoid harsh criticism ;)
(wat an hypocrite - lol)

hi everyone,
i had an idea to comment about "kuruvi",but my class mate had "damaged" it better.so i will go for "azhagiya tamil magan" directed by Bharathan, featuring Vijay in a double role.Even though Vijay's previous movie gilli & pokiri was a remake,it can be viewed once.
That gave me a boost to watch ATM.

The story line goes as vijay(Guru) is an MBA student who cannot be beaten in running race, Shriya-daughter of a businessman, fell in love with vijay.(the main concept was taken from the hollywood movie
"final destination").Guru(Vijay) has an extra sensory perception, with premonitions of horrible events. He sees himself killing his lover Shriya. Then he meets his look-alike 'prasad' who is a criminal. At that stage he met with an accident,in
that gap 'prasad' replaces 'guru' for making money & the rest is climax.

As this is the director bharathan's first movie, even though the concept was stolen from a hollywoodmovie,he cant able to execute it well.Screenplay was totally weak.
As you all saw the above story line, there is no logic in this movie. The most terrible
thing in this movie was vijay's acting. We cant point out the difference between the two
character's of vijay (guru & prasad),which made me to cry in the theater.Vijay's dialogues,
fighting scenes really irritated me.Comedy part was done by santhanam,i feel there is no
need of comedians in this movie because Vijay's double acting itself is a big comedy.
In the climax the criminal Vijay(prasad) will turn as a good one, that was the peak of my irritation, normally i dont scold others but they made me to scold.

Then after a month i heard that ATM is still running, that was again a big shock to me.

Hate is too much of a harsh word to use for this movie but I can say I dint like ‘unnale unnale’. Though there was a lot of hype for this movie especially becoz of the songs which were topping the charts, I dint like the story. But most people liked the movie. I liked the cinematography and music but somehow I couldn’t except the story and felt there were a lot of flaws. I couldn’t except the fact that the hero is in love with a girl and runs behind her all the time n finally ends up marrying her friend! And the most irritating part was that only the faults on the heroine’s side were shown but the faults on the hero’s side were shown as if he was right. Whenever there was a misunderstanding between the two, only the part where the heroine gets angry n shouts at him was highlighted but whereas the root cause of the problem was becoz of the hero and that part was narrated as if he had done nothing wrong. How unfair!!!!

And ma’am about the characters’ names of ‘mind ur lang’, since u said if v hadn’t got the names correct v can check with our friends, I found that each of us had written what v comprehended so I got the exact names from the net.

Hi friends... Swaminathan here.... Very nice topic... Let me start my views but before that i can accept with anyone's comment except Iswarya's comment.. Because i don know why she hated Dasavatharam??? Each and every Indian sould be proud of that
movie.. Because it is an output of hardwork and experience... We should learn the meaning of Hardwork and Involvement from Mr.Kamalahasan...I am a die-hard fan of Mr.Rajinikanth (because
of his Brand Name in the Country and Brand Equity in the Industry ) i can tell that noone can reach Mr.Kamalahasan.... This Dasavatharam will be a milestone for Tamil movie industry. If any
other director has made this project he would have become mentally ill.. That much a complicated script and screenplay.. He showed his speciality in each and every frame.... I am sure that Mr.Kamalahasan would/should/will get Oscar Award for his involvement.... Anyway let me come to my review which going to make every one get angry over me....

Hey i hope that everyone would like this movie and whenever i use to criricize this movie mos of the time people would scold me(but most of my friends who are in 35+ age group accepted)...... Yes i
hate your favourite and successfull 7G Rainbow colony... I am sure that after this comments there will be a large revenges upon me..
But sorry friends i have to get marks.....

* The movie is mainly targetted only on the youth
and on the "c" grade audiance. It cant be watched
along with family.
* The words used in the movie was very worst and i
hate the language they used.
* And mainly the way Mr.Ravikrishna(Hero) speaks
in Tamil Language like Anithaaaaaaaaaa is very
worst....
*A relation between lovers is not just the dashing
their skin and working with harmones... Apart
from that there of lot of things like
care,affection,friendship,sacrifice etc.... But this
movie concentrates mainly on body contact...
Mr.Selvaraghavan, Still there are people who love
without seeing each other .. True love never seeks
the 2min of harmone satisfaction but life full of
happiness...
* Comedy was also not appriciatable.
* And my biggest question is will a well known
corporate willaccept those type of
Interviews??? I think no company norms allows
some x or y to just come in and
refer a person, show his talent etc... There are a
lot of procedures involved in
selecting at least for a low level employee... And in
the starting scene the Hero
refuses to attend a meeting... If anyone who is in a
responsible position answers
like that then he will be made to undergo some
actions against him/her from the
company. (If any company is liberal like that please
give me the address... I will join
that company and enjoy with my lover ("if i find
any girl at that time"))
* Eventhough the songs and Sound tracks were
mega hit and your most favourite for you all it did
not do anything over me....

Anyway the Producer got back the money what he
invested over it, Director and casts got good name
for that, Music director went to a peak in his image
after that movie... Most of the mobile phones had
the movie's songs as Dialer Tones, ring tones etc...
Even that movie was the main reason for the
director to marry the heroine in his real life..

So those comments above are just my views.. . Sorry if it hurt any Selvaraghavan's fan or Ravikrishna's fan or Sonia Agarwal's fan.... Its just my comment...

My best wishes for you all.....

hi guys:-)
saranya here :-)The movie i hate the most now probably it is none other than"Kuselan".

Oh god!!The original version of the movie was too good ...i don't know how one could have a taught of spoiling it thoroughly...

The story of the movie is all about a very poor childhood friend of a very famous and rich actor. The main specialty of the movie "kadhai paraum mol(real version)" is the originality of the movie which is actually missing in kuselan.

The over importance given to actor rajnikanth is also another important reason which spoiled the originality of the movie.

The songs which was actually said to be added for entertainment was really irritating and i felt that they were unwantedly stuffed into the story.

over expectation for the movie made it lose its original flavor and it could have been an good movie if had been at least properly copied...but what a pity
that process was actually done by director p.vasu

I felt I have wasted my time and money for that very bad remake of "kathai paraum mol" :(

senthil raj said...

hi friends,
Senthil here.., the topic was too good to give my opinion about bad films.
First of all i opposed with the comment posted by
bhargavi and ishwarya. As bhargavi said that Shivsji was illogical, the film was taken for the pride of actor Rajini .The style he performed and actions made him to goback to his original positon and moreover coming to ishwarya's comment
the film dasavatharam as the name implies it is the role of an actor in ten different roles. he made it with a flaw of combining his all roles as better as he can.then why should you waste money to watch it for only three roles.i am damn sure you cant able to identify the actor at all his ten roles.you visualize only at the climax song then how it was boring to you??????????????????
ok come to my positon the film i hated was sivapathikaram starring vishal. The most irritatable film i have never seen in my life.
this film has not at all a story.only visualisng the hero killing the mysterious one and rest of the film there are some dramas like to recollect the village songs.the film has not at all having a screenplay.Total waste of time and money by watching this film.

Greetings to you all from Meyyar
I feel great about my classmates as they analysis the movies in an professional way and as a critics.

Frankly from Soman:-
I don’t watch movies neither interested over it. I watch movies like serials… And I want to tell you One biggest Secret, never expose it outside… I never had been to Theatre in my life. I don’t feel bad neither regret for it.

I’m ready to give review about other things if possible. But, when it comes to movies…, I just think , what to write….
But still I have seen certain movies like – Transporter 1&2, Laga Raho Munna Bhai, Boys, Black, Lagaan, Passion of the Christ, Spiderman, Batman, Mist and so on..
I really appreciate all the crew members who work hardly to make an movie for entertaining the audience for 3 hrs.
I like Shahrukh Khan, Kajol, Rani Mukerjee, vidya Balan, Sanjay Dutt, Revathy.

swathi said...

Hi... Swati here.. first of all, ishwarya i cannot agree with your comments... Really yaar! We should see Dasavatharam atleast for kamal's acting and also the hard work, creativity and efforts which he took! That alone is really appreciable... so sorry ishu.
And coming to my perception, seriously i will not hate any movie because being a media student i know the risks and problems involved in taking a movie so i cannot blindly say that there is no effort in any of the movies and ofcourse movies are for auidences so there is surely some logic and entertainment present for them...so when it does not reach them then it becomes a worst movie.
We, the media students should see the movies beyond the actual faults perceived by audience and should see the efforts and ofcourse there wont be mistakes on the whole. Some of the mistakes may be in screen play and some in cinematography and so on. Finaly, i would declare that i will not hate any movie nor i love all the movies, i will always appreciate the efforts taken by the technicians....
K guys,i would like to end my comments over here....
And of course comments posted by all my classmates are really appreciable.

Thanks for this oppurtunity, Bubye....

Yes dude it was running, but not inside the theater......

@saranya
if u dont mind, small correction, its "kathaparayumbol"

@swati
the movie is only criticized because, wen u have a platform to perform (tat too wit others money), u must show your mettle. cause, not everyone gets the chance. so as a media student, u (we) should realize tat...

Sorry friends if u find these replies too harsh...

Hi everyone,
This is jai here...The movie I hate the most is "Casino royale"
Trust me, I just love Bond movies. But, this one is an exception….
One of the very important reason why I don't like the movie is because of the hero, Daniel Craig who tried very hard to portray the super character "James bond" but, oops! He fails miserably...

First and foremost the appearance of Daniel is not very suitable to match with the James bond character…most of the previous actors like Sean Connery and Pierce Brosnan have a rectangular forehead with wrinkles that actually adds credit to the character Actor Daniel has got good muscular But, that typical look of “intelligence and smartness” that a spy is supposed to have is missing….

The heroine of the movie Eva green has got beautiful eyes, but her performance is not that good she does not show any kind of reactions to any emotions .she is used just as a glamour doll.

And the all time favorite bond theme music is used only once in the movie’s end that too with many changes, which is quite disappointing and the movie does not have a proper ending which is another disappointment…

As we see the movie we could understand there is lot of hard work involved in the movie, but, the hard work has not reached the screens properly which made it to be worthless…

“The casino royale” could be added to the list of action movies but could not be branded as a typical “bond “movie….

Hi guys and girls,
Hearty greetings to everyone... And thanks to every individual soul of the class for the great birthday blast! thank you very much and love you all...

And my response to this week's blog goes like... film is a medium that most people choose for keepin' themselves entertained, relaxed and so on and so forth...and every individual has a unique way of percievin' the message conveyed through the film and on the other hand every individual's personal experience come out as a film... and therefore I feel its unfair to comment on the other person's experience and effort of producing a film... therefore I don't hate any!

hi frienz,sorry for the delay...

the movie i hate is ILLOGIAL

" JUMPER "

Cast: Hayden Christensen, Samuel L. Jackson, Jamie Bell, Rachel Bilson

Director: Doug Liman

“Jumper” is the worst kind of movie, a concept charged with stellar potential and a creative reservoir.an uncomplicatedly bad film, “Jumper” is an unforgivably dim-witted waste of celluloid and time.
David Rice (Hayden Christensen) discovers at a young age that he possesses the ability to instantaneously teleport anywhere in the world. At the speed of thought, he can “jump” from one side of the Earth to the other and back. He enjoys mornings in a Manhattan penthouse, lunch in Egypt, afternoon surfing in Australia and a pint to wash it all down with later that night in a London pub. David’s life is one of unlimited resources, an existence without limits or consequences.Roland(Samuel .L.Jackson)is the religious-minded leader of a clan dedicated to exterminating all Jumpers.

“Jumper” is one of the worst scripts in recent memory, a screenplay so riddled with inconsistencies, plot holes and inept dialogue that it sounds like something the scenery department was asked to throw together while the writers were on strike. The film seems incapable of following its own logic, places characters in exotic situations.Worse, the film’s core problem is its alleged hero, an emotional vacuum at best and a self-absorbed, heartless monster at worst.
When the television shows third-world peasants fighting for their lives in a tsunamilike flood, we assume David will jump in to rescue them. However when he dons a wet suit soon thereafter, it is to ride waves not save lives.

If “Jumper” once had a character arc that showed David learning the error of his ways and deciding to use his powers for good, it now lies on the cutting room floor. Instead, in its lack of criticism of his actions.
As a travelogue, it makes a compelling case for Rome, Egypt and Tokyo as vacation destinations. As a story, it is stillborn.
Perhaps it’s no wonder Christensen, Jackson seem to sleepwalk through their underwritten roles. They’re bored. So are we.

Thank you for this wonderful opportunity reviewing on a movie i hate the most...

ok frienz itz good bye and now im going to jump on to tip of the Mt.Everest(im still overshadowed by "JUMPER"(catharsis effect)....

Hi friends,
Happy to post my comment... think I am the last one but I'm sorry for the delay..:)

ok... the movie I hate the most is Battlefield Earth..it is an American film adaptation of the novel L. Ron Hubbard. Battlefield Earth was a major commercial failure and critical flop and has been widely dismissed as one of the worst films ever made.

As a media student I would say the film was not scripted properly at all, secondly I am a big fan of John Travolta but in this film I would tell that he was at his worst best. And for technical accuracy this film is a smorgasbord of flaws, the most elaborate dialog revolves around the sentence 'grumble mumble' and special effects!!phew...the worst ever, because they pretend to be serious.Too many things you see in the movie are simply beyond belief.. inspite of the fact that it is a science fiction!!
It is a horrible movie beyond all our expectations... and so I can now tell anyone who's interested: You must see this movie yourself to realize the sheer magnitude of its badness, stupidity, and ineptitude.

"Battlefield Earth" is certain to be remembered over the years, though not in the manner that was originally intended. Instead of an inspiring science fiction epic this film with its cheesy dialogue, idiotic characters, and a laughable plot, will be remembered by future generations as the worst movie ever made!!
